Owner & Home Inspector
Ken Askildsen, the Owner and President of Mill River Inspections, is a life long resident of Westchester County. He spent his early years in Chappaqua, NY and currently resides in New York and Connecticut.
Ken's interest in Early American Homes and Historic Restoration lead him into the field of building and contracting where he excelled for the last 30 years. Here he worked on building home extensions including framing, roofing, windows, doors, stairs, etc. This experience gave him extensive knowledge of every system (old and new) needed to perform an effective home inspection.
With that background and 30 years of experience, home inspection became a perfect fit. Ken currently holds a license both in New York and Connecticut. Ken attends monthly meetings to ensure that he is up-to-date with the latests trends in the home inspection industry. Today, we have offices open in Fairfield and Westchester Counties.
Ken has been married to his wife Joanne for over 10 years and enjoys activities such as skiing, camping, hiking, fly fishing, wood working, and collecting antiques. On the volunteer front, Ken has worked with organizations such as Habitat for Humanity and Hopetown Children's Center.
